On Monday, October 31, at 10:39 pm, officers responded to Kwik Shop, 1727 W Crawford. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the driver of a vehicle, identified as 50-year-old Amy Morgan Brooks, who was reported to have been driving a gold 2005 Chevy Trailblazer. Allegedly, Morgan Brooks was traveling east within the 1700 block of Cyprus, but then attempted a u-turn to head westbound, drove over a curb and collided with an AT&T utility box on the side of the road. She then drove to Kwik Shop.
Morgan Brooks was arrested on the requested charges of DUI, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
