A weekend altercation with an officer leads to the arrest of a Salina man.
On Friday, September 15 at 10:27 pm, officers were sent to Kraft Manor, 1801 S 9, for a domestic dispute. They made contact with 24-year-old Donovan Green of Salina, who was reportedly non-compliant and argumentative with the officers.
In trying to arrest Green, he allegedly fought back outside of the 2nd floor apartment. The officer was pushed against the balcony railing, and was afraid he was going to be pushed over the balcony. The second officer on scene did discharge their taser, but it was ineffective. The officer was eventually able to arrest Green on the following requested charges:
- Aggravated battery on law enforcement officer
- Interference with law enforcement officer
- Domestic battery
- Criminal damage to property
