In an incident that unfolded on November 20 at 11:18 pm, officers responded to a potential domestic disturbance at 1400 Cheyenne. A 43-year-old woman, the reported victim, detailed a heated argument with her boyfriend, 43-year-old Eli Gantenbein, escalating into a violent assault.
Allegedly, Gantenbein attacked the woman, forcibly dragging her to a bedroom where he proceeded to strangle her, issue death threats, and attempted to suffocate her with a pillow. Displaying resilience, the victim managed to dislocate Gantenbein's pinky in self-defense.
Upon the officers' arrival, it was discovered that Gantenbein had sought medical attention for his dislocated pinky at the emergency room. Subsequently, officers apprehended him at the hospital, and he now faces a litany of requested charges, including aggravated domestic battery, domestic battery, criminal threat, violation of a protective order, intimidation of a witness, kidnapping, and theft.
