Vehicle Recovered after Reported Missing From Salina Gym

On Friday, February 2, at 10:45 am, a victim reported the disappearance of his black 2014 Subaru Forester valued at $15,000 while he was at Genesis Health Club on S 9th in the 1800 block. The suspect allegedly took the vehicle's key from the locker room between 9:30-10:45 am. Later that day at 12:41 pm, the vehicle was FLOCKED traveling eastbound on I-70 and exiting at 9th St, where it was located at Pilot. Although the suspect initially was not located, employees provided officers with a possible direction of travel on foot. 32-year-old John Floyd of Salina was apprehended in the vicinity of 9th and Stimmel. Floyd was arrested on the requested charge of felony theft.
