On September 5, at 12:48 am, an officer reportedly witnesses a 2004 yellow Dodge Ram 1500 get on Interstate 135 at Crawford. The vehicle headed north, with speeds clocked at 113 mph. The officer attempted a stop, but the vehicle continued northbound on 135, then east on Interstate 70 before exiting on 9th and pulling into a parking lot on Stimmel Rd.
The driver exited the vehicle, and was allegedly non-compliant before being taken into custody. He was identified as 31-year-old Jose Roman-Garcia of Salina. Roman-Garcia was allegedly intoxicated at the time of his arrest. His requested charges are the following:
- Flee & Elude
- Interference with Law Enforcement
- No Turn Signal
- Improper Driving on Laned Roadway
- Speeding
- Disobey Traffic Control Device
- Reckless Driving
- DUI
