Man Arrested on Warrants Following Foot Chase in  Central Salina

In a recent incident that unfolded at approximately 4 pm on Tuesday, May 30, law enforcement officers apprehended Dylan Woodcox in the 600 block of W Prescott after a foot pursuit. Mr Woodcox, who was believed to have active felony warrants issued by the Saline County District Court, allegedly attempted to evade arrest when an officer on patrol spotted him at South 11th and W Prescott.

Upon recognizing the alleged Mr Woodcox and his warrants, the officer exited their vehicle to make contact with him. However, Mr Woodcox allegedly chose to flee, prompting a brief chase on foot. During the pursuit, the officer noticed an open garage door in the 600 block of S 11th and allegedly discovered Mr Woodcox hiding inside.

After successfully apprehending Mr Woodcox, law enforcement allegedly found drug paraphernalia in his backpack. Mr Woodcox was arrested on his warrants out of Saline County District Court for felony probation violation and failure to appear for felony drug charges, in addition to the requested charges of felony obstruction, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
