In a heartwarming gathering on Thursday, October 5, The Kirwin House, nestled near the Kansas Wesleyan campus, was the location of the annual Stocktober Fest. Graciously hosted by Kansas Wesleyan University, the event was dedicated to supporting the Salina Emergency Aid Food Bank.
The Salina community came together in full force, demonstrating their unwavering commitment to those in need. Through a delightful array of activities, including the Hickory Hut meal, Liquor Pull, Wine Pull, Restaurant Pull, Raffle, Silent Auction, and the generous contributions of event sponsors, the Food Bank achieved an impressive fundraising total of over $31,000.
A crowd of approximately 220 compassionate individuals marked their presence at this annual gathering, coming together to provide vital support to the Food Bank and ensure that no one in the community goes hungry. Stocktober Fest continues to shine as a beacon of hope, uniting the community for a cause that truly matters.
