Shots Fired in Air Leads to Drug Bust

17-year-old apprehended after firing shots into the air; substantial drug haul and firearms seized

On November 23, officers rushed to the 700 block of Fairdale in response to reports of an individual discharging multiple rounds into the air, before fleeing the scene on foot. Despite initial challenges in locating the suspect, information surfaced suggesting a possible retreat into an apartment in the vicinity.

While officers were in the process of securing a search warrant, the subject was seen and identified as a 17-year-old male. The apartment was searched, and officers allegedly found inside an estimated 10 pounds of marijuana, mushrooms, and edibles, along with an estimated $10,000 in suspected drug proceeds, and 2 firearms.

The teen now faces a comprehensive list of requested charges, including distribution of a controlled substance, no drug tax stamp, felony possession of drug paraphernalia, unlawful acquisition of drug proceeds, criminal use of a weapon, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and minor in consumption of alcohol.
