Salina Woman Arrested in Connection to Trespassing, Later for DUI

On September 14 at 1:59 pm, officers were sent to the 600 block of S 11. An 82-year-old woman reported that she was in her house with her granddaughter, who is under the age of 18. The victim looked up and saw an unknown female standing in her living room. The house door had been closed but unlocked.

The unknown female, later identified as 49-year-old Wyona Marshall, allegedly began telling the victims that she was an undercover police officer, and asked the adult victim to get in the vehicle with her. The victim said she wasn't going anywhere, to which the woman looked at the granddaughter and asked her to come with her. The grandmother said that they were going to call the police, and at that point Wyona left the house in her vehicle.

The victim was able to get a tag number from the vehicle. Officers went to the subject's house, where they were going to issue her an NTA for trespassing. Marshall that she was having a medical episode. As officers were trying to help her, she allegedly punched an officer in the shin. She was placed in a body wrap and arrested on the following requested charges:

  • Battery on law enforcement officer
  • Interference with law enforcement

At 11:56 pm on that same day, after Marshall's release, an officer reportedly saw a vehicle speeding and driving recklessly near N 12th and Grand. A traffic stop was conducted, and the driver was identified as Wyona Marshall, who appeared to be intoxicated. She was arrested on the requested charge of DUI.
