Salina Woman Arrested after Incident with a Hammer

On Monday, September 18 at 11:45 pm, officers were sent to the 400 block of S 11th for a domestic disturbance. They arrived and located two individuals, one of whom was identified as 49-year-old Wyona Marshall of Salina. The victim is a 72-year-old Salina man.

The two were allegedly involved in an argument. During this time, Marshall punched the victim in the face, got a hammer and began hitting the walls of the house, causing $100 damage to the drywall. Marshall also raised the hammer above her head as if she was going to hit the victim, and made threats to him about cutting his throat. She was arrested on the following requested charges:

  • Aggrevated Assault
  • Criminal Threat
  • Damage to Property
  • Domestic Battery
