A Salina man was arrested in connection to a burglary in central Salina.
Sgt Tonniges said that officers were sent to the 800 block of S 10 on Thursday, September 21, at 9:02 am. The caller, who is a resident at the home, said a male subject had knocked on their door. The subject then allegedly went to a camper at the back of the residence, and began taking things out of it.
Officers arrived to find the homeowner with the subject, identified at 29-year-old Christopher Gochanour, of Salina. Property had allegedly been taken out of the camper. Officers obtained a search warrant for Gochanour's home, and noticed additional property that belonged to the victim, who said items were missing from the day before. The property was estimated at $1,000.
Gochanour was arrested on the following requested charges:
- Burglary
- Theft
- Possession of Methamphetamine
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
