Salina Man Arrested in Connection with String of Thefts at Target

On August 23, Target reported that a subject came into the store and allegedly stole three Vivitar flash drives worth $45. Later, a male returned the flash drives for gift cards. The vehicle was allegedly a gold Ford Focus on both occasions.

The next day, on August 24, the same subject allegedly returned and stole a Vivitar card reader worth $30.99. The next day, he returned the card reader for another gift card. He was again in a gold Ford Focus.

On Friday, September 8, Target reported that the subject allegedly committed another theft, concealing a box of head phones in his pants. Target was waiting for him, and confronted him in the vestibule. The subject removed the headphones from his pants, and left the store. On this occasion, Target was able to get a tag number from the possible vehicle, which was entered into the FLOCK license plate reader system. Later in the day, alerts began coming through for the vehicle traveling through town. From that, officers were able to locate the vehicle, stop it, and make contact with the subject. He was identified as 42-year-old William Randall, and arrested on the following requested charge:
