On Saturday, October 14 at 1:55 pm, officers responded to the 700 block of W Ash for a reported domestic disturbance. 40-year-old James Brown of Salina reportedly attempted to pour hot soup on his wife. When the victim's son attempted to intervene, Brown threatened to beat him up and attempted to start a fight. Brown was arrested, but he resisted officers and had to be placed in a body wrap. During the struggle, an officer's watch was damaged. Brown was arrested on the following requested charges:
- Assault
- Disorderly Conduct
- Interference with Law Enforcement Officer
- Damage to Property
