Salina Man Arrested After Bar Patrons Report Threat

A reported criminal threat at a Downtown Salina bar over the weekend leads to the arrest of a Salina man.

On Saturday, September 16 at 9:29 pm, officers were dispatched to The Voo, 249 N Santa Fe. It was reported that a subject had pulled a weapon. The subject had already left the bar when officers arrived, but was found in the 100 block of W Elm and identified as 53-year-old Michael Mehl of Salina.

The victims reported that there had been an argument between Mehl and other bar patrons. Mehl allegedly told people that he was going to kill them, and pulled up his shirt, displaying two knives on his waistband. He was arrested on the following requested charges:

  • Criminal threat
  • Disorderly conduct
  • Criminal use of a weapon
