A Salina man was arrested after allegedly trespassing in a west Salina home.

Captain Forrester says that the alleged incident began at 11:30 pm on Monday, May 9, in the 1200 block of Oak Cir. The suspect was identified as 45-year-old George Wagner of Salina. Officers were sent to the area for a reported trespassing. It was reported that Mr Wagner was at the house, and refusing to leave. Mr Wagner had previously been banned from the residence.

An 18-year-old female victim, who is said to be an acquaintance of Mr Wagner, was at home and heard someone in a bedroom. She opened the door and allegedly saw Mr Wagner inside. Knowing Mr Wagner wasn't supposed to be there, she asked him to leave. Mr Wagner allegedly became upset and approached the female in an aggressive manor, who grabbed a baseball bat to defend herself. A physical altercation ensued.

The female then called for her 14-year-old brother for assistance, who was also home at the time. When the teen boy entered the room, Mr Wagner was allegedly standing over the top of the female. Mr Wagner then allegedly went toward the boy in an aggressive manor, and the boy punched Mr Wagner. This caused Mr Wagner to run out of the house.

A 19-year-old brother was en route to the residence, having been advised to what was happening. Knowing that Mr Wagner liked to park a block from the residence, the older boy went to that area to confront Mr Wagner. It was at this point that Mr Wagner allegedly backed his 2006 Chevy Silverado Pickup into the 19-year-old's 2009 Chevy Pickup, and then drove off. The 19-year-old followed in an attempted to get a tag number. In the 1200 block of Cloud Cir, Mr Wagner allegedly slammed on his breaks, causing the 19-year-old to rear end him.

A short time later, officers went to the 1400 block of Ponca, where Mr Wagner was allegedly outside the house next to his pickup. The vehicle allegedly had rear end damage consistent with what was being reported. Mr Wagner was arrested on the following requested charges:

  • Numerous Traffic Violations
  • Criminal Trespassing
  • Battery
  • Assault
  • Disorderly Conduct
