On Monday, April 10, the Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) will resume resurfacing work on I-135. The construction crews will complete work on the southbound lanes of I-135 and finish the final 12 miles of northbound I-135 between the McPherson/Saline County line and the I-70/I-135 junction. The project will begin with the I-70 ramps and work from Shilling Road north to I-70.

During construction, traffic will be limited to one 16-foot lane at a reduced speed through the work zone. Minimal delays, not exceeding five minutes, are expected. APAC-Kansas Inc. Shears Division of Hutchinson is the prime contractor and has scheduled this $17 million project to be completed by June 2023, weather permitting.

KDOT urges all drivers to obey warning signs and be alert when approaching and driving through the work zone. For more information on road construction projects across Kansas, visit www.kandrive.org or call 5-1-1.
