I-70 Bridge Approach Repair Resumes Thursday in Saline County

Beginning Thursday, March 28, the Kansas Department of Transportation plans to resume work to repair bridge approaches on eastbound and westbound I-70, at Hedville Road (mile marker 244) in Saline County.

During construction, eastbound and westbound traffic will be reduced to one lane at a reduced speed with a 14-foot width restriction.

Bettis Asphalt and Construction Inc. of Topeka is the prime contractor for this $5.6 million project and has scheduled work for all phases of construction to be completed in May, weather permitting.

KDOT urges all motorists to be alert and obey the warning signs when approaching and driving through a highway work zone. To stay aware of all road construction projects across Kansas, go to www.kandrive.org or call 5-1-1.
