Police Chase Ends in Arrest of Possible Parole Violator

In a pursuit that unfolded on Tuesday, February 20th, at 12:30 pm, the Salina Police Department collaborated with special agents from the Kansas Department of Corrections (KDOC) to apprehend Jason Lynn, a 40-year-old individual wanted for a parole violation. Lynn, characterized as a violent offender, was allegedly observed by agents exiting a residence in the 400 block of W Ash.

Upon the arrival of SPD, a 2012 Toyota Prius was spotted departing the scene. Officers initiated a stop, but the driver reportedly fled, instigating a chase that spanned several city blocks in the Downtown area. The pursuit, which traversed Ash, 9th, Iron, 7th, Santa Fe, Walnut, Mulberry, 4th, 3rd, and South, reached speeds of up to 55 mph.

The driver, identified as Lynn, attempted to evade authorities by navigating through a parking lot in the 100 block of S 3rd Street before ultimately colliding with a house in the 1000 block of E Iron Street. Subsequently, Lynn was apprehended by officers.

Jason Lynn now faces a slew of requested charges, including felony flee and elude, felony damage to property, reckless driving, and driving while suspended.
