On September 24 at 7:01 pm, officers were sent to Speakeasy, 2030 S Ohio, for the report of a vehicle being driven eradically in the parking lot. Officers arrived on scene and identified the possible driver as 36-year-old Taner Trautwein, of Falun. He was not operating the vehicle at that moment, but was allegedly trying to walk away and appeared to be highly intoxicated, and not being cooperative with officers. Trautwein reportedly told officers he was going to walk, and began to resist, pulling away. An officer deployed a taser, and after Trautwein continued to resist while in handcuffs, he was placed in a body wrap and taken to the ER.
Trautwein was arrested on the following requested charges:
- DUI
- Interference with law enforcement officer
