Man Arrested After Alleged Attempt to Grab Officer's Firearm During Scuffle

On Sunday, November 5, at 11:40 am, officers were sent to the 200 block of N 10th in response to a reported disturbance. Upon arrival, officers made contact with 30-year-old Corey Born outside his residence, where they allegedly observed him exhibiting erratic behavior. Born allegedly approached one of the officers and made repeated attempts to grab the officer's firearm. A scuffle ensued, and Born was arrested on the requested charges of criminal threat, battery on a law enforcement officer, assault on a law enforcement officer, interference with a law enforcement officer, and possession of marijuana.
