Fireworks Go On Sale Tuesday, June 27

Salina County residents can gear up for Independence Day as fireworks will be available for purchase from June 27-July 5. However, it's essential to familiarize yourself with the specific rules set by the county and each city regarding the permissible time for lighting fireworks. Fireworks cannot be discharged in parks, streets, sidewalks, or public property. Fireworks can only be discharged on private property.

For any fireworks violations, please call 1-785-826-7210. Remember, in emergency situations requiring immediate response from the Police, Fire, or EMS, dial 911.

Here are the regulations for various areas

Saline County (including Assaria and New Cambria):

  • Dates of Sale: From June 27-July 5, between 8 am-10 pm daily
  • Dates of Discharge: From June 27-July 5, between 8 am-midnight daily

City of Salina:

  • Dates of Sale: From June 27-July 4, between 8 am-10 pm daily
  • Dates of Discharge: Limited to July 3-4, between 8 am-11 pm daily

City of Gypsum:

  • No fireworks sales permitted within the city limits
  • Dates of Discharge: July 1-July 5, between 8 am-midnight daily

City of Smolan:

  • No fireworks sales permitted within the city limits
  • Dates of Discharge: Limited to July 3-4, between 8 am-midnight daily
