On the evening of November 16, at 10:13 pm, officers responded to a reported attempted vehicle burglary in the 200 block of S. 11th St. The vehicle owner thwarted the incident, noticing and deterring a male wearing dark clothing from their vehicle. Fortunately, no items were stolen from the vehicle.
At 10:21 pm on November 16, 2023, dispatch relayed a second report of an attempted vehicle burglary in the 200 block of S. Clark. The victim observed a male, clad in a black shirt and pants, hastily fleeing from their vehicle. Fortunately, no items were pilfered from the vehicle.
It is unknown if these incidents are related.
