UPDATE: Sheriff Soldan says that on Saturday, May 6 at 1:49 am, Deputies were sent to the Shady Lady, 1540 W Old 40, where it was reported that at least two people had been shot. Responders arrived to find a 25-year-old male victim and 31-year-old male victim, both with gunshot wounds. They were transported to SRHC, then transferred to Wichita for their wounds. One victim was taken to Wesley, while the other was taken to St Francis. It was later discovered that a third victim, a 23-year-old male, had been dropped off at SRHC. This victim was treated and released from SRHC.

An investigation led to 23-year-old Dyeon Presley of Salina as having a possible connection in this case. Through the investigation, it was learned that bouncers were clearing the club at the end of the night. Someone allegedly bumped into Mr Presley's girlfriend and said something that he took offense to, and words were exchanged. It was at this point that Mr Presley began shooting at the front door of the club.

The third person who was allegedly shot was an acquaintance of the possible suspect. A bouncer was located right next to the two individuals who were allegedly shot and transferred to Wichita hospitals. The possible suspect allegedly dropped his acquaintance off at SRHC for his wounds.

At around 10 am on Saturday, a search warrant was executed in connection to this incident in the area of Roach and Ohio. After law enforcement secured the residence, the alleged suspect arrived home and was arrested.

The suspect, identified as 23-year-old Dyeon Presley of Salina, has the following requested charges:

  • 3 counts Attempted Murder
  • Aggravated Assault
  • Criminal Damage to Property
  • Criminal Discharge of Weapon in Occupied Building

The alleged weapon was identified as a 9mm handgun. The two victims transferred to Wichita sustained injuries to their torso, one in the stomach and the other in their chest.
