Wrong-Way Driver Causes Serious Crash on I-70 Near Salina

A wrong-way collision on Interstate 70 resulted in multiple injuries early Thursday morning, approximately 8 miles west of Salina.

At 1:13 AM, a 2008 Mitsubishi Eclipse driven by Gregory L. White, 56, of Camdenton, Mississippi, was traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes when it collided head-on with a 2018 Nissan Pathfinder in the left lane near mile marker 244.3.

The Pathfinder's driver, Kilee R. Adams, 19, of Seaford, Virginia, sustained serious injuries and was transported to Salina Regional Health Center. Her passenger, Sophia J. Cannon, 20, of Yorktown, Virginia, was also taken to Salina Regional with minor injuries. White reportedly suffered minor injuries but was not hospitalized.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
