The Coyotes nearly scored a goal late in the first half in a sequence of shots, but could not find the back of the net and the match went to the half scoreless.
Saint Mary scored the lone goal of the match in the 50th minute as Nanako Hallier scored off an assist by Abbie Rodgers.
Wesleyan had another chance in the 58th but could not convert.
KWU outshot USM 14-5 in the match with four shots from Leoni Enzlmuller.
Wesleyan gets a week off to reset before heading the Kansas City to take on Avila University next Saturday.
