Women's Car Care Clinic
Adam Freeman, Senior Master Tech, National Technician Review Board KC Representative, explains to the participants how to change a tire during the Women's Car Care Clinic at Long McArthur, held on July 18, 2025.

On Friday, July 18, 2025, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Long McArthur Ford, 3450 S. Ninth St., Salina, hosted its first-ever Women’s Car Care Clinic, a hands-on car maintenance workshop tailored for women, no automotive experience required. Participants could learn practical skills such as changing a tire, topping up and checking oil, and measuring tire pressure. The atmosphere was designed to be relaxed and social—attendees were encouraged to join demonstrations at their own pace and comfort level. To enhance the experience, Long McArthur offered charcuterie boards and temporary henna tattoos from Peachy Keen Nails & Henna along with hair braiding with Babe Braid Bar and necklace making tables for participants to enjoy.

It was set up as an empowering, community‑focused evening where women built confidence under expert guidance while enjoying a fun, supportive environment.

Attendees left feeling more self‑sufficient and ready to hit the road.
