Woman Suffers Injury in Alleged Domestic Dispute

On the morning of December 30th at 10 am, officers responded to a reported domestic incident in the 400 block of S 9th. A 52-year-old woman informed officers that she was suffering a head injury from being struck with the butt of a firearm, resulting in a bleeding gash. The individual suspected in connection with the incident was identified as 57-year-old Derrick Richardson. Upon locating Richardson on the premises, officers endeavored to apprehend him. Allegedly uncooperative, he was eventually taken into custody and now faces requested charges including aggravated domestic battery, domestic battery, and interference with a law enforcement officer.
