Woman Possibly Injured after 2-Vehicle Accident on I-70

The Kansas Highway Patrol worked an injury accident on Friday, February 16 in Saline County.

The KHP report indicates that the accident occurred at 9:30 am, at I70 and Ohio St. A 2021 Hyundai Santa Fe, driven by a 61-year-old Abilene woman, was Westbound on I70 making a lane change. Due to winter weather road conditions, the vehicle lost control and spun out, causing a 2021 International Semi Truck to hit the Hyundai. The semi truck was being driven by a 54-year-old Lenexa man, and was hauling a 2020 Great Dane trailer.

The driver of the Hyundai was taken to Heartland Health Care Clinic for possible injuries. The driver of the semi had no apparent injuries.
