Officers responded to a business in central Salina yesterday for a woman that had been assaulted.
On Thursday, August 24, officers were sent to Dollar General, 511 E Iron, at 7:56 am. They made contact with a 44-year-old female who had shown up at the business with with cuts, and the store called SPD.
The victim reported that on Wednesday, August 23, just before 10 pm, she was outside the store and assaulted by an unknown male with a knife. At one point, the woman was cut with knife to her face, hands, and chest. She was able to get away.
The man is described as a darker black male, age 50-60. The victim was seen by medics but declined immediate transport.
