Woman Arrested After DUI Investigation

In the early hours of Thursday, November 30th, at 7:26 am, an officer reportedly observed a maroon 2017 Jeep Cherokee heading southbound on 9th St. The driver executed a left turn in front of another vehicle, prompting the latter to abruptly apply the brakes to avoid a potential collision. The officer pulled over the Jeep and engaged with the driver, identified as 33-year-old Deanna Garvert. Accompanying her in the vehicle was Garvert's 14-year-old child, en route to school. The officer suspected Garvert of potential intoxication. Following an investigation, Garvert was taken into custody on requested charges of DUI and child endangerment.
