A woman is arrested after a domestic disturbance that occurred in a vehicle in east Salina.
Captain Forrester says that the incident occurred on Tuesday, April 18 at 4:45 pm, in the 2000 block of E Iron. Officers were dispatched to the area for a domestic disturbance, that had reportedly occurred in a 2001 Buick Century. The 20-year-old male victim from Wichita reported that he and 20-year-old Melissa Baker were having an argument inside the vehicle.
Ms Baker pulled the vehicle over to get the victim out. As the victim was exiting, Ms Baker allegedly crawled over the console and began attacking him, attempted to stab him with scissors. As the victim exited, Ms Baker allegedly did stab him with scissors in his right arm. His injuries were consistent with this report.
Ms Baker was arrested on the following requested charges:
- Aggravated battery
- Disorderly conduct
- Domestic battery
- Possession of marijuana
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
- Damage to property
