On Friday, October 13 at 1:51 pm, officers were sent to the top of Indian Rock Park for a vehicle that had driven off the parking lot.18-year-old Trevon Cole of Salina reported he was driving his black 2023 Dodge Challenger south through the gravel parking lot at the side of the hill when he hit a bolder and slid out of the parking lot into the grassy area. The investigation showed Cole was driving at a high rate of speed south through the parking lot, struck a boulder, and then slid into the grass on the south slope of the hill. The boulder was positioned on the south edge of the parking lot. Cole was uninjured and his vehicle was towed from the scene due to damage. He was also cited for Careless Driving.
