Beginning Monday, January 27, 2025, Smoky Hill Construction will be working north of the intersection of West Walnut Street and South 8th Street.
Pavement will be removed for water and wastewater utility construction. South 8 th Street, between West Walnut Street and Iron Avenue, will be closed to thru traffic. Access to adjacent properties will be maintained, and local traffic may access South 8 th Street from Iron Avenue. Work is expected to last two weeks and be completed by February 7, 2025, weather permitting.
Appropriate barriers will be in place to ensure the safety of workers.
Motorists may encounter minor delays and are encouraged to avoid work zones when possible.
