Over the weekend, the parent of a 16-year-old male reported suspicious text messages between the juvenile and a teacher at South Middle School to the Salina Police Department.
An investigation was conducted with the cooperation of USD 305. Investigators believe that the teacher, Amanda Freeman, had provided the juvenile, and possibly other juveniles, with alcohol and THC products.
On September 9, 2025, Freeman was arrested and booked into the Saline County Jail. She faces requested charges of Felony Contributing to a Childโs Misconduct, Aggravated Endangerment of a Child, Distribution of Marijuana, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Unlawful Social Hosting, and Furnishing Alcohol to a Minor.
The investigation remains ongoing.
