USD 305 is proud to honor the exceptional dedication and commitment of its educators with the Teacher Appreciation Award for January and February.
January's recipient is Laura Bond, a first-grade teacher at Oakdale Elementary. Laura is a self starter who always asks, "How can I help?" She is selfless with her time and is continuously involved in supporting the success of her students. Laura also participates in several building committees and is the co-director of the after-school program.
The February winner is Gary Seibel, an Industrial Arts and Technology Education teacher at South High School. Gary is generous with his time and supports both students at staff at his school. Recently, when a physics teacher needed pieces of wood for a lab experiment about density, Gary offered suggestions on different kinds of wood. He then cut and labeled 60 pieces for his fellow teacher.
Congratulations to Laura Bond and Gary Seibel for their outstanding contributions to education, embodying the essence of excellence and dedication in teaching.
