Salina Animal Shelter Seeks Loving Home for Peter, a Sweet Senior Dog

Salina, KS — The Salina Animal Shelter is searching for the perfect home for Peter, a 10-year-old male Terrier mix described as “the sweetest little old man” by Monique Hawley, Director of the Salina Animal Shelter.

“He just loves to snuggle under blankets and eat his chewies,” Hawley shared. “Peter would be perfect for someone who is home all day and could spoil him. He’s often lounging up front, enjoying his time with the staff.”

Peter arrived at the shelter in poor condition, suffering from a severe case of flea dermatitis. However, thanks to the shelter’s care, his hair is growing back, and his fleas are gone. To manage his allergies, Peter takes Benadryl twice a day. Peter remains a gentle, loving companion ready to bring joy to a caring owner.

Hawley emphasized the ideal environment for Peter: “He needs someone who can be home with him and give him the love and attention he deserves.”

Peter is neutered and ready to find his forever home. If you’re interested in adopting Peter or learning more about him, contact the Salina Animal Shelter for details. 785-826-6535
