Salina Central High School's tennis team delivered a strong performance in a competitive series of dual matches held on Saturday, where teams from Salina Central, Salina South, St. James Academy, Buhler, and Valley Center faced off. The event featured 4 singles and 3 doubles teams competing against one another.
Leading the way for Salina Central were Addison and Mallory Renfro, who dominated the competition in #1 Doubles. The pair won the #1 Doubles Championship with an impressive 4-0 record, not losing a single game across all four matches.
In #2 Doubles, Claire Renfro and Kinsley Foth also had a stellar day, winning their championship with a perfect 4-0 record.
Other notable performances included Brooke Banniger and Lily VanZant in #3 Doubles, who finished with a 2-2 record. In singles, Kodi Waite secured second place in #4 Singles with a strong 3-1 performance. Alexis Rogers in #2 Singles and Cadence Foth in #3 Singles both finished with 2-2 records, while Morgan Pavey, competing in #1 Singles, wrapped up with a 1-3 record.
Salina Central finished second overall as a team in the event. St. James Academy claimed the team championship, showcasing a competitive day of tennis across the board.
