Salina Venom triumphed at the Midwest Plains Regional Championship in Garden City this past weekend, securing the 18U regional title and advancing to the Babe Ruth World Series. The prestigious series will be held in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, from August 9-16.
Under the guidance of coach Mark Johnson, the Venom demonstrated remarkable skill and teamwork. In the semifinals, they overpowered the Colorado state champions, the Buckley Bombers, with an impressive 18-8 victory. The championship game saw Salina emerge victorious against the Garden City Venom, winning 6-3.
