Salina, Kan. – July 19, 2024 – New General Manager at Tony’s Pizza Events Center in July as Oak View Group announces an internal promotion.
Ian Groopman has been named General Manager at Tony’s Pizza Events Center, effective July 15th. Groopman, who holds a Master’s Degree in Sports Management from Ohio University, joined Tony’s Pizza Events Center in March 2021 as the Director of Operations and was promoted to Assistant General Manager in October 2023. Prior to his time at TPEC, Groopman served as the Custodial Manager and Assistant Changeover Manager at North Charleston Coliseum in South Carolina. He has also held positions with The Greater Columbus Convention Center, The Cleveland Browns in the NFL, The Los Angeles Dodgers, Cleveland Guardians, and The Chicago White Sox in the MLB.
