On July 8 at 8:00 am, police were called to Border States Electric at 1320 Armory Road for a theft report. Sometime between July 3 and July 8, unknown suspect(s) cut a hole in the fence and stole a transformer valued at $1,000 that was sitting on a pallet. The transformer was later found in pieces in the woods to the west of the building, with evidence suggesting the suspect(s) were attempting to extract copper. The damage to the fence is estimated at $100. There are no suspects or video surveillance at this time, and the investigation is ongoing.
