On July 7, a 71-year-old Salina resident reported being scammed outside the north doors of Walmart on July 6 at 3:00 pm. Two Hispanic individuals, a heavyset male about 6'1" and a female wearing a flower dress, approached him claiming he had dropped a $20 bill. When he checked his wallet, the suspects somehow managed to take his debit card. His bank later informed him that his card had been used at Sam's Club for $2,000 and an attempted purchase in Wichita, which failed. Both suspects are believed to be in their 40's.
