Saline County Commissioners unanimously approved the acquisition of a new mower deck during their recent meeting on February 20, 2024. The proposal sought authorization for the purchase, utilizing existing governmental purchase contracts through Sourcewell.
After reviewing bids from KanEquip of Salina and Prairie Land Partners of Abilene the Commission opted to accept KanEquip's bid of $24,422.24. This decision aligns with the county's commitment to modernization and operational efficiency, as the new equipment matches the brand and model of the current mower inventory.
Funds for the purchase will be drawn from the 2024 Road and Bridge Budget's Capital Outlay line item. The new mower deck is expected to be delivered by June 2024.
