The Salina Airport Authority announced that Tricrest Aviation Insurance has established operations at the Salina Airport Industrial Center, marking the company's entry into the Kansas aviation market.
Tricrest Insurance Agency LLC, which began operations in 2024, has set up offices at Building 412, 2804 Arnold Avenue, Room 116. The company specializes in aviation insurance products and services for pilots, aircraft owners, charter operations, flight schools, and maintenance facilities.
The agency was founded by Kyri Barton, a licensed pilot and aerospace engineer who serves as president and chief operating officer. Barton's background includes experience in systems engineering and risk modeling in areas such as satellite navigation, aircraft systems, and predictive maintenance.
"After years in systems engineering and advanced risk modeling, it became clear that my technical experience could directly improve how aviation insurance is done," Barton stated. "I wanted to create a firm where pilots feel understood and supported."
Tricrest offers hull and liability coverage, hangar keepers' liability, workers' compensation, and commercial aviation policies. The company also provides in-person consultations, policy reviews, and claims support from its airport location.
The Salina Airport Industrial Center serves as a hub for aviation-related businesses in the Midwest region. Tricrest's establishment at the facility adds to the growing number of aviation service providers based at the location.
The company markets itself as taking a data-driven approach to aviation insurance, leveraging technical expertise to serve the aviation community.
