Blaze Engulfs Assaria Home: Family Escapes Unharmed

In a devastating incident on November 19 at 9:33 am, a residence in the 100 block of E Borgmeyer Lane, located in the northwest Assaria city limits, succumbed to flames. The mobile home, along with all its contents, is declared a total loss, estimating $30,000.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported as the 54-year-old homeowner, accompanied by his 51-year-old wife, 28-year-old son, and four grandchildren, managed to evacuate the premises safely.

The owner said they were having ongoing electrical issues prior to fire when someone noticed the fire.

Rural Fire District 2 responded to the emergency, with additional support from the City of Assaria Fire Department and Rural Fire Department 6, offering mutual aid. Nearby residences were evacuated as a precautionary measure due to the active and escalating nature of the fire.
