Traffic Stop Drug Bust Leads to Arrest of Salina Man

On March 24th at approximately 8:30 pm, a traffic stop was conducted on I-135 near milepost 79. Acting on an investigative lead, a Salina PD canine unit and a detective from the drug task force stopped the vehicle, resulting in the arrest of Marcus Gray, a 40-year-old male. Authorities discovered approximately six pounds of methamphetamine, two ounces of cocaine, and a small amount of personal-use marijuana inside Gray's vehicle.

Following the traffic stop, a subsequent search was carried out at Gray's residence in the 700 block of Johnstown. During the search, authorities uncovered seven grams of cocaine and a handgun.

Gray now faces multiple requested charges, including two counts of possession with intent to distribute an opioid/stimulant, possession of drugs within 1,000 feet of a school, possession with intent to distribute drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and two counts of no drug tax stamp.
