Over the course of the weekend, three separate incidents involving deer collisions were reported in Saline County. The first accident took place on June 3rd at approximately 7:15 am, on I-135, near Farrelly Rd, mile marker 86. A 2010 silver 4-door Toyota Corolla, driven by a 31-year-old resident of McPherson, was traveling northbound when a deer unexpectedly darted into its path, resulting in a collision.
The second incident occurred on June 3rd around 6:12 am on I-70, near McGavern Rd, specifically at mile marker 237. A 2016 Chevy Equinox, operated by a driver from Junction City, was involved in a collision with a deer.
Lastly, on June 4th at 10:05 pm, a 2012 Volkswagen Jetta driven by an out-of-state traveler was struck by a deer on I-135, near Hedberg Rd.
