On Sunday, October 15 at 1:30 pm, first responders were sent to I-70 eastbound, milepost 248, for a 2-vehicle accident. A black 2018 Chevy Silverado, driven by a 28-year-old Dallas, TX man, rear-ended a black 2013 Ford Edge driven by a 90-year-old Bison, KS man. The Chevy was driving highway speed, while the Ford was traveling 50 mph on a spare tire. The driver and 83-year-old female passenger of the Ford were transported to SRHC by EMS for injuries. The driver of the Chevy was cited for following too closely.
