Sophia Salas

Sophia is a seventh grader at Lakewood Middle School. Sophia’s favorite part about school is her teachers; Ms. Alexander, Mr. Ukena, Ms. Leach, Mr. Remy and Mr. Weaverling, because they are nice and always willing to help out. Outside of school, Sophia prioritizes family and helping them out in any way she can. She also enjoys spending time with her dog, Snow, and her cat, Droplet. Sophia encourages others to take things one step at a time. After high school Sophia will attend college and pursue business. Her end goal is to help run her family’s current business.

Wade Simpson

Wade is a senior at Central High School. Wade is a boys soccer team captain, and loves being in the welding shop and going to as many competitions as he can. His favorite part about school is all of the technical programs, like cabinet making and welding. Outside of school Wade dedicates his time to  working, being with family, friends, and working on cars. After graduation Wade will attend the Missouri Welding Institute to pursue pipeline welding and become a traveling welder for different companies. 

Jaxson Fillmore

Jaxson is a seventh grader at South Middle School. Jaxson is involved with the recycling program and volunteers within the school to keep it clean. He also participates in the Blue Thunder Special Olympics. In his freetime Jaxson focuses on his interests of WWE, Pokémon, monster trucks, playing baseball and spending time with friends. After high school Jaxson plans on running Bubba’s Bunch O’ Crunchies and selling freeze-dried candy.

Alex Davidson

Alex is a senior at South High School. Alex is a captain on the football team, a member of the baseball team, a member of student council and in the National Honor Society. His favorite classes have been his architectural drafting classes, as he enjoys the material and thinks Mr. Hair is a great teacher. Outside of school Alex is involved with Relay for Life and his church. Alex spends his free time golfing, fishing, working out, and spending time with his friends. After graduation Alex will attend Kansas State University to study architecture.
