UPDATE: Three Juveniles Arrested After Shot Fired During Disturbance

UPDATE: Captain Forrester says that at 6:10 pm, in the 200 block of N Penn, an officer was on patrol and observed a 2002 Ford Explorer Sport Track turn east on Elm from Penn. The vehicle was allegedly driving in excess of the posted 30 mph speed limit, and was stopped in the 200 block of N Front. When stopped, the subjects exited the vehicle, and one was reporting he had a gun shot wound to his leg. At the same time, officers were dispatched to the 200 block of N Penn for a disturbance where a shot had been fired. The victims are a 20-year-old male and 18-year-old male, both of Salina.

It was reported that two 17-year-olds were riding by on a moped, and allegedly began arguing with the victims. The juveniles left, and allegedly returned a short time later with a third 17-year-old male. A physical altercation reportedly ensued. Both victims were allegedly stabbed with a cutting instrument. At one point, a victim retrieved a shot gun from the residence. He then reportedly fired one round in the direction of the three juveniles, striking one of them in the leg. The three juveniles left, which is when they were stopped by the officer as they were leaving the scene.

The three juveniles were arrested, each being charged with aggravated battery and two counts of disorderly conduct.
