On February 9th, at 4:40 pm, officers responded to a theft report at Lowe's located at 3035 S 9th. Allegedly, a known 41-year-old female suspect fled the scene. According to accounts, the female entered the store and requested customer service to hold a bag containing items. The bag purportedly held merchandise from Vanderbilts, including an item with an attached theft tag. Subsequently, Lowe's staff contacted Vanderbilts, whose manager verified the ownership of the bag's contents. Upon confrontation, the suspect resisted, seized the bag, and departed the premises. Officers were then alerted to the situation. The suspect discarded the bag while fleeing. Recovered items from the bag included women's jeans, two pairs of men's jeans, and two bottles of perfume, valued at $468.
